The Chromatic Soul: How Colour Defines Our Existence

Colour Personality

Colours have been an integral part of every project I’ve worked on, whether it’s home decor, art, branding, or something as mundane as birthday party themes. The search for the perfect colour scheme can be daunting for some. But I found that colour palettes have always been intriguing, from neutral tones to vibrant hues, and everything in between, which can be the missing puzzle piece.

As an artist, colours are a way of life. Since I picked it up as a child, dabbling with acrylic paints that brought life to my artistic expressions. I have taken it for granted the spontaneity with which I understood colour connection and relationship. While many are overwhelmed with a zillion choices.

The Colours That Reflect My Personality

Spotting rainbows on a cloudless sky can be the most rewarding and fulfilling thing that I can recall from my vast repertoire of memories. Rainbow, as you know, encompasses the entire colour spectrum.

White the fresh, clean canvas of my mind at the first rays of dawn. Keeps me calm, neutral, and balanced before the riot of colourful emotions claims my day.

Violet soothes me as I reflect to journal my innermost thoughts surrounded in an aura of mysticism. Creativity flows unbidden intuitively, with taints of uniqueness and authenticity.

Blue has me grounded as the peacemaker seeking out harmony, loyalty, and heart-to-heart meaningful conversations. Empathetic and often happy to lend an ear.

Green beckons the nature lover in me, and I actively seek out refreshing green spaces in my community. Ever the curious thinker green celebrates growth in challenging situations and fosters the resounding independent spirit in me.

Yellow is the sunshine colour that has me glowing amidst the darkest hour. Enthusiastic as I cheerfully juggle many tasks under the magical spell of I, the optimist.

Orange/Saffron is the sacred colour that has a spiritual connotation and the traditional sanctity of duty. Also, a tangy colour that connotes spontaneity and fun adventures in my life.

Red wraps me in youthful, passionate energy, empowering me to outperform with zeal. Crimson, the colour of blood, has attention written all over it. My go-to vivid hue that unfurls festive vibes on any occasion.

Black is the colour of night, bellies an undercurrent of mystery and sophistication. A chasm of power dynamics and undisputed authority that I can seldom see as underrated.

Colours are everywhere, defining indigenous communities across far-flung places and timeless legacies. It’s fascinating to note that colours can brighten our moods, affect our decisions, enhance our memory, and even influence who we trust. Our reactions to colours are influenced by our culture, lifestyle choices, and personal experiences. A lifelong quest as I endeavour to piece together my fragile identity.
