Dandelion

Dandelion
A faint smile played on the child’s lips
Gullible, hopeful eyes brimming with
Zestful curiosity as she twirled the stem
Blithely gazing at the white fuzzy ball
For one fleeting moment, she closed her eyes
In her effervescent mind, a wish came forth
A cool breeze of change tempts the child to blow
Seeds on wings, dreams afloat, drifting, fluttering
Travelling afar purports to be in an idyllic place
